BRAC Bank is a fully operational Commercial Bank, duly licensed by Da Afghanistan Bank- started its operations in Afghanistan during Oct 2006. Since inception- the Bank's footprint has grown to 4 Fully Functional branches and SME unit offices across the country. The ever expanding customer base has made the rapid expansion possible.
BRAC Bank focuses on pursuing market niches in the Small and Medium Enterprise Segment, which hitherto has remained largely untapped within the country. During its operation, the Bank has disbursed more than USD 35 million in loans to no fewer than 6,000 small and medium entrepreneurs.
The Bank strongly believes that this rather neglected sector of the economy can contribute towards the most rapid generation of employment in Afghanistan , which is a vital ingredient towards the economic emancipation of the country.
